Description
General: The Albino Cory Catfish (Corydoras paleatus) is a peaceful, social, captive-bred catfish originally from Corydoras paleatus. The Albino Corydoras is a facultative air-breather, meaning it comes to the surface to breathe during naturally anoxic (without oxygen) periods that stagnant bodies of water sometimes undergo. Members of the Corydoras scientific genus are relatively hardy, and tend to be very social with other Cory Catfish.
Fecundity: The Albino Cory Catfish (Corydoras paleatus) may produce over 1,000 eggs per clutch.
Aquarium Diet (Omnivore): Brine Shrimp, Baby Brine Shrimp, Blackworms, Omnivore Pellet, Algae Wafer
Preferred Water Chemistry: Slightly acidic (6.0-7.5 pH), intermediate water hardness (3-12 dGH)
Dimorphism: Once mature, the female Albino Corydoras will take on a more gravid appearance.
Compatibility: Members of the Corydoras genus are typically compatible with other Corydoras, Tetra, Danio, Rasbora, Hatchetfish, Pencilfish, and other small community-based species.
