Description
General: The Kuhli Loach (Pangio kuhlii) are an elusive fish species, native to the flowing wetlands of southeast Asia. Being considered a scaleless fish (scales are significantly smaller than other fish within the hobby), it is often best to only add Kuhli Loach after having completely cycled an aquarium. The Kuhli Loach may reach a length up to four inches, and retain a very peaceful nature through-out maturation. When keeping Kuhli Loaches, it is important to securely cover the entire aquarium top, as they tend to be great escape artists.
Preferred Water Chemistry: Slightly acidic (6.0-7.6 pH), Soft Water Hardness (1-6 dKH)
Aquarium Diet (Omnivore): Baby Brine Shrimp, Brine Shrimp, Bloodworms, Blackworms, Spirulina, Daphnia, Tropical Flake, Boiled Cucumber
Dimorphism: The Kuhli Loach (Pangio kuhlii) female will take on a more gravid appearance when ready to reproduce.
Compatibility: The Kuhli Loach (Pangio kuhlii) are typically compatible with Tetra, Danio, Rasbora, Corydoras, Pencilfish, Hatchetfish, and Hillstream Loach
