General: The Diamond Goby (Valenciennea puellaris) naturally sift their way through-ought the various reefs of Indonesia. The Diamond Goby will reach a length of five inches, is considered to be "reef safe", and should be kept in an aquarium larger than 29 gallons. The Diamond Goby is typically a peaceful marine fish species, but may become aggressive towards others occupying the same territory. This Goby may be kept with another, as long as it is of opposite gender. The Diamond Goby should not be used to "cycle" a new aquarium, and should only be placed within aquariums that already have an established culture of copepods, or amphipods.
Aquarium Diet: The Diamond Goby (Valenciennea puellaris) are naturally carnivorous, primarily preying upon small invertebrates such as zooplankton, bloodworm, mysis shrimp, and brine shrimp. It is often ideal to provide food multiple times throughout the day, especially when introducing this Goby to its new environment.
