Orange, Black, Blue, Yellow, Cream
Alkalinity: 8-12 KH, pH: 8.1-8.4, salinity: 1.020-1.025, 72-78 degrees Fahrenheit
General: The Eibli Angel is another large species within the Centropyge genus that can reach a maximum size of approximately 6 inches in the home aquarium. A great beginner angel, it is a hardy and relatively docile species. The Eibli Angel adds a beautiful contrast of color to an aquarium with its bright, red stripes and black tail emphasized by an edging of blue.
Diet: Offer a diet of frozen shrimps, angel specific frozen foods, herbivorous foods (ex: Spirulina, sheet algae), a high quality marine flake, and other frozen options for optimal health, color, and longevity.
Compatibility: One of the least aggressive in the genus, the Eibli Angel is compatible with a variety of passive to semi-aggressive fish, including other less pugnacious Centropyge species. The Centropyge genus includes some of the most compatible angelfish for a reef system. Take caution however, an especially underfed, under nourished, or crammed individual may nip at coral.
Environment: The Eibli Angel should be added to an established system that has completed the nitrogen cycle. Fish are sensitive to temperature change; maintaining a stable temperature is important for the overall health of any fish. At full size, it should be housed in no less than 75 gallons with an abundance of liverock to graze on and retreat to if necessary.
Sexual Dimorphism: Difficult to distinguish male from female.
