General: The Ghost Shrimp (Paleomonetes paludosus) occupy the densely vegetated lakes, and rivers of eastern North America. Although the Ghost Shrimp are largely found in freshwater systems, they have also been found in brackish bodies of water. The Ghost Shrimp are primarily used as a feeder for any carnivorous aquarium species, but they are also valuable when utilized to consume, and limit, algal growth. The Ghost Shrimp will live several years in captivity, and reach a length just over two inches.

Aquarium Diet (Herbivorous): Daphnia, Spirulina, Algae Wafer, and Boiled Cucumber
Compatibility: The Ghost Shrimp (Paleomonetes paludosus) are typically compatible with Danio, Rasbora, Hillstream Loach, Kuhli Loach, Badis, Pencilfish, Hatchetfish, Corydoras, and smaller species of Tetra.
