General: The Orange Lined Cardinal (Apogon cyanosoma) naturally occupy reefs within the Pacific, and Indonesian Ocean. The Orange Lined Cardinal will reach a length of three inches, are considered to be reef safe, is a relatively hardy starter fish, and will require a minimum tank size of 20 gallons. This member of the scientific family Apogonidae is typically an active, and peaceful fish. The Orange Lined Cardinal do behave as a schooling fish, and should be kept in groups larger than three. The Orange Lined Cardinal should always be kept with other peaceful fish species.
Aquarium Diet (Omnivore): Primarily, the Orange Lined Cardinal (Apogon cyanosoma) consume invertebrates such as zooplankton, copepods, mysis shrimp, and various algal species.
