Description
General: The Panda Cory Catfish (Corydoras panda) is a peaceful, social catfish from Central America. The Panda Corydoras is a facultative air-breather, meaning it comes to the surface to breathe during naturally anoxic (without oxygen) periods that stagnant bodies of water sometimes undergo. Members of the Corydoras scientific genus are relatively hardy, and tend to be very social with other Cory Catfish.
Preferred Water Chemistry: Slightly acidic (5.5 to 7.2 pH), intermediate water hardness (6 to 12 dGH)
Aquarium Diet: Omnivore pellet, algae wafer, blackworms, Spirulina
Dimorphism: Once mature, the female Corydoras will take on a more gravid appearance.
Compatibility: Members of the Corydoras genus are typically compatible with other Corydoras, Tetra, Danio, Rasbora, Hatchetfish, Pencilfish, and other small community-based species.
