General: The Paleatus Cory Catfish (Corydoras paleatus) is a peaceful, social catfish from the wetlands of Brazil. The Paleatus Corydoras is a facultative air-breather, meaning it comes to the surface to breathe during naturally anoxic (without oxygen) periods that stagnant bodies of water sometimes undergo. Members of the Corydoras scientific genus are relatively hardy, and tend to be very social with other Cory Catfish.

Dimorphism: Once mature, the female Paleatus Corydoras will take on a more gravid appearance.
Compatibility: Members of the Corydoras genus are typically compatible with other Corydoras, Tetra, Danio, Rasbora, Hatchetfish, Pencilfish, and other small community-based species.
