Description
General: The Pristella Tetra (Pristella maxillaris) is a South American fish species that has adapted to a large variety of environmental conditions. Naturally, the Pristella Tetra may be found in slightly acidic wetlands, or even brackish tributaries leading to the ocean. The Pistella Tetra may reach a length of two inches, and live for over five years in captivity. The Pristella Tetra is a hardy, peaceful, small fish species that should be utilized to establish a new tank.
Fecundity: The Pristella Tetra (Pristella maxillaris) may produce up to 400 eggs per clutch.
